Trowel-trade bricklayer — Livingston County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Livingston County, New York. The job is on a commercial construction site. The role involves: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Full-time with occasional weekends.
