Head baker • Washington County, Maine

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a head baker in Washington County, Maine. You will work at a neighbourhood confectionery. Day-to-day duties: • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch You should have: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Accurate at weighing and following recipes Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
