Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Giles County, Tennessee. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
