Now hiring: gas metal arc welder (Tennessee)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Shelby County, Tennessee. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. You should have: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Your main tasks: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
