Now hiring: we are hiring a stone mason in Shelby County, Missouri. The job is at a marble and granite workshop. Requirements: • Own hand tools an advantage • Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy slabs • Confident operating a bridge saw, angle grinder and diamond blades The role involves lift and handle heavy slabs safely using suction lifters and trolleys; shape edges, bullnoses and bevels with an angle grinder and profiling wheels; grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish; cut marble and granite slabs on a bridge saw with diamond blades; restore old marble by honing, crystallising and buffing back to finish; polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound.
