Urgent requirement: safety officer (Nevada)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety officer in Elko County, Nevada. Day to day you will ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements. What we are looking for: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Six days a week, one day off.
