Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Southampton, England. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day-to-day duties: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
