Restoration bricklayer — Tuscaloosa County

Now hiring: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The job is on a new-build development. Your main tasks: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day 6+ years on the tools preferred.
