Vacancy available: mason's helper (Kentucky)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a mason's helper in Union County, Kentucky. You will work with a civil contractor. Requirements: • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain Day to day you will erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate. 6+ years on the tools preferred. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
