Day to day you will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight ₦1,700 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
