Urgent requirement: steel erection rigger (Alabama)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Choctaw County, Alabama. You will work at a container port. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams On a typical shift you will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $160 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
