Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Douglas County, Georgia. You will be based in a heavy machinery workshop. Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles On a typical shift you will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. We offer $5,300 per month plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
