TIG welder — Rensselaer County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a TIG welder in Rensselaer County, New York. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. The role involves read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
