Great opportunity: we are hiring a plastering hand in Craig County, Virginia. You will work on a busy domestic building site. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day On the job you will handle: • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge • Check walls for plumb and level as you go • Tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
