Vacancy available: glass fitter (New York)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a glass fitter in Herkimer County, New York. You will work in a mirror and glass showroom. You should have: • Skilled with silicone guns, putty and glazing tools • Aware of safe glass handling and PPE such as cut-resistant gloves • Knowledge of toughened, laminated and double-glazed units The role involves: • Seal joints with a silicone gun and tool off a neat bead • Glaze shopfronts, curtain walls and glass partitions • Secure glass with glazing beads, clips and points • Work safely at height on scaffolds and ladders • Read drawings and setting-out details for glazing layouts • Measure window and door openings and order glass to size Meals and transport allowance provided.
