Pipe tig welder • Madison County, Indiana

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Madison County, Indiana. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings 6+ years on the tools preferred. $29 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
