Immediate opening: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Vernon County, Missouri. The job is at a halal meat counter. Requirements: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Day to day you will weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone.
