Join our team: we are hiring a GTAW welder in East Lothian, Scotland. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces The role involves: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. £2,250 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
