Trowel-trade bricklayer • Hertford County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Hertford County, North Carolina. You will be based on a commercial construction site. The role involves: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings What we are looking for: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
