Structural MIG welder — Vance County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Vance County, North Carolina. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently The role involves: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
