Tailor machinist — Columbia County

Now hiring: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Columbia County, Oregon. On a typical shift you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens 3+ years on the tools preferred. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
