Tailor machinist — Kiri Kasama

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Kiri Kasama, Jigawa State. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Your main tasks: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory ₦70,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
