We are recruiting: we are hiring a confectioner in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. The role involves: • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream Requirements: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
