What we are looking for: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety You will bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc.
