Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day to day you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
