Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Shelby County, Indiana. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Full-time with occasional weekends.
