Steel fixer — Crosby County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixer in Crosby County, Texas. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Pay around $3,400 per month, based on your experience.
