Vacancy available: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. The job is at an open-cast mine. The role involves: • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily Requirements: • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
