Vacancy available: furnace operator (Florida)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a furnace operator in Glades County, Florida. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
