We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Kendall County, Illinois. The role involves: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Six days a week, one day off.
