You should have: • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Confident with manual handling and load securing The role involves: • Log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards • Complete delivery notes, CMR paperwork and proof-of-delivery • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
