Join our team: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska. You will work in a chemical processing unit. Ideal candidate: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Your main tasks: • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry Six days a week, one day off.
