Foundry operative — Livingston County

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Livingston County, Missouri. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Your main tasks: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $23 per hour, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
