Now hiring: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Wyandotte County, Kansas. The job is on a new-build development. Your main tasks: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays Requirements: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Rotating shifts.
