Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Shawnee County, Kansas. What we are looking for: • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing The role involves fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
