Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Mason County, Michigan. You will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks $28 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
