Great opportunity: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Elbert County, Colorado. What we are looking for: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Willing to work shifts and overtime The role involves grind back and re-weld any defective runs; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
