Vacancy available: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Torrance County, New Mexico. You will work at an auto components factory. Day-to-day duties: • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor Ideal candidate: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading Six days a week, one day off.
