Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Polk County, North Carolina. You will work on a structural steel site. On the job you will handle: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding You should have: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Full-time with occasional weekends.
