Vacancy available: pipe TIG welder (Kansas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Geary County, Kansas. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. You should have: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Performance bonus on top of base pay.
