We are recruiting: we are hiring a rigger in Carroll County, Indiana. You will work in a heavy machinery workshop. The role involves take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Six days a week, one day off.
