Urgent requirement: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Graham County, North Carolina. The job is at a shipyard. The role involves: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather 5+ years on the tools preferred.
