We are recruiting: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Sacramento County, California. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) On a typical shift you will lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
