Immediate opening: we are hiring a gardener in Poweshiek County, Iowa. You will be based at a plant nursery. On a typical shift you will check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn. You should have: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
