Sample machinist wanted in Monroe County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a busy garment factory. You should have: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Your main tasks: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line 6+ years on the tools preferred. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
