Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete worker in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works Day to day you will lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout.
