Tailor machinist wanted in Southampton

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Southampton, England. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. You should have: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
