Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Hampden County, Massachusetts. Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Six days a week, one day off.
