Immediate opening: gantry crane operator (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in City of Emporia, Virginia. You will work at a precast concrete yard. On the job you will handle: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines Requirements: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • A good head for heights for tower crane work At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
