The role involves feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE Six days a week, one day off. We offer $2,500 per month plus benefits.
